I have often wondered what happens when a person dies. I have watched many shows and movies on television and in these show,the way that a person's passing on to the afterlife or what ever we choose to call it is usually different for everyone. I have a thought in my mind of how it may have been for Mamita. She is of course, young and healthy again. She can walk and feels no pain, no sorrow. As her spirit leaves this earth, she looks back at her own body and sees all of us surrounding her bed. Holding her hands and kissing her and telling her that we love her so much. I hope that she felt all that love in her hospital room that day. On the other side, she is met by her dear mother, her father, our oldest sister, Felicita, our brother Luis, our brother Paco and last but not least, our father, Papito. I can see them all getting together and welcoming her showing her the way. I hope this is the way it happenned. I remember watching an episode of designing women in which one of the ladies is having her baby. While at the hospital, they visit with an elderly woman that is dying. All of her loved ones have passed on before her. She is not sad at the prospect of dying. She is happy because she feels that she will soon be re-united with her family. When she finally passes on, she is escorted down this white hallway by Dolly Parton. I loved this episode and I hope that this was what happened with Mamita. Mari
